(Closing Update) Roll & Play: The Game Master's Christmas Essentials

Hi everyone,

I hope you're doing well, and have had a wonderful week. Did you know it is just over a week until Christmas? There aren't many sleeps left to go now!

I wanted to share a quick update on the current status of Roll & Play: The Game Master’s Christmas Essentials before the Roll & Play Press team sign-off for the holidays.

Redeeming rewards

I’m happy to report that 90% of backers have now completed their pledge manager through BackerKit and have been able to download their rewards via our website. If you haven’t yet completed your survey, I’d encourage you to do so as soon as possible, so you can enjoy your rewards over the festive season. If you have not yet received a link to your pledge manager or would like a replacement link, then please send us a Kickstarter message or email.

New edition

This afternoon, an updated version of The Game Master’s Christmas Essentials PDF was uploaded to our website that included a special backer acknowledgements section – it's our way of saying a big thank you to all of you for your support. If you would like a copy of this updated PDF, please follow the instructions below:

If you have already downloaded your rewards: all you need to do is log back into your account on www.rollandplaypress.com, click on My Account at the top of the page (in the menu on mobile browsers), then click on the Downloads tab. Go ahead and download The Game Master’s Christmas Essentials PDF once more, and you will find that the file now includes a backer acknowledgements section.

If you haven't yet downloaded your rewards: the file you download from our website will include a backer acknowledgements section.

Project fulfilled

Now these very important acknowledgements pages have been added, and the vast majority of backers have downloaded their rewards, I am excited to mark this project as fulfilled! We are so grateful to the 949 backers who supported this festive project. It was so much fun to create, and we hope it brings you many hours of joy, too.

We’ll be back next year with even more content for you! The easiest way to stay up-to-date on our latest projects is to sign up to our monthly newsletter (and you’ll receive free random tables!). You can also follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for news and regular creative prompts.

DEADLINE TOMORROW - Finalising Backer Names

Hi all,

Thank you to everyone who has filled in their pledge manager and downloaded their rewards from our website. We love receiving your feedback, it's great to hear that you are enjoying your rewards and getting in the holiday spirit with some festive RPG fun!

We are currently making a list (and checking it twice) to say a final thanks to all of you for your support. An updated version of The Game Master’s Christmas Essentials PDF will be released very soon, with a special backer acknowledgements section. 

If you have already completed your pledge manager, no further action is needed. However, if you have NOT yet filled in your BackerKit pledge manager and you would like your name to be included, time is running out! 

To be featured in this special section of the book, please complete your pledge manager by 10:00AM GMT, Friday 17th December. Names received after this time will unfortunately not be included in the acknowledgements.

If you have not yet received a link to your pledge manager or would like a replacement link, then please send us a Kickstarter message or email and we will investigate this for you. Email links were sent by BackerKit, so look out for this name in your Inbox (or Junk folder, just in case).

Audio Files for VTT

Hi everyone,

It's great to see so many people have already downloaded their digital rewards. I hope by now you have had a chance to flick through everything and are enjoying what you see so far!

A couple of people reached out to us after downloading their rewards and asked for compressed versions of the Tabletop Tracks, which will be easier to use with virtual tabletops like Roll20. So, I just wanted to send a quick update today to let you know that compressed audio tracks have been created and uploaded to our website.

If you have already downloaded your rewards: all you need to do is log back into your account on www.rollandplaypress.com, click on My Account at the top of the page (in the menu on mobile browsers), then click on the Downloads tab. Go ahead and download the Tabletop Tracks once more, and you will find that the zip file now includes both uncompressed (~30MB) and compressed (~7MB) versions of each audio file.

If you haven't yet downloaded your rewards: the zip file you download will include both uncompressed (~30MB) and compressed (~7MB) versions of each audio file.

Downloading Your Digital Rewards

Hi everyone,

It seems like Christmas has come early, as your festive downloads are now available!

By now, you should have received an email from BackerKit with a list of unique coupon codes (please check your Junk email as well). These codes will allow you to download your rewards through our website. The instructions on how to claim your items are included in the link sent to you by BackerKit, but I have also listed them below for your reference.

Please note:

• The website is likely to be busy for the next couple of hours due to the significant increase in traffic with backers claiming their digital rewards. If you are finding that the website seems slow, or is not loading a page for you, we would recommend coming back and trying again a little later.
• If you have backed this Kickstarter as a gift for someone else, we would recommend sending them the coupon codes and the instructions, as all digital downloads are watermarked with the name and email address of the user redeeming the coupon. These watermarks appear in the top margin of each page, and are unobtrusive.

How to download your digital rewards:

I have put together a tutorial video that guides you through how to download your digital rewards, there are also written instructions beneath it. Step-by-step screenshots are included for assistance in the picture gallery on the Kickstarter: Pledge Ticket page on our website.

• On the Roll & Play Press website, add the Kickstarter: Pledge Ticket to your Basket (via this link, www.rollandplaypress.com/product/kickstarter-pledge)
• Go to your Basket.
• One at a time, enter the unique coupon codes sent to you via BackerKit. Make sure you add these to the Coupon field, do not add them to the Gift Card field as they will not work.
• After you have added all of your coupon codes, click Proceed to Checkout.
• Add your details to create your Roll & Play Press account (where you can download your products) and click Place Order.
• Once you place your order, links to your new digital downloads will appear on your screen. These links will also be attached to your order confirmation email. Clicking these links will download products to your device.
• You can also access your digital downloads any time from the Downloads panel in the My Account section of this website.

If you have any issues redeeming your rewards, please send us a Kickstarter message or get in touch at [email protected], and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

If you would like us to delete your Roll & Play Press account once you have finished downloading your digital rewards, drop us a message and we can do that for you – please note, you will not be able to download extra copies of your digital rewards in the future if your account has been deleted.

Pledge Manager Rollout in Progress!

Hi everyone,

Our pledge manager has been finalised, and is being sent to ALL backers in batches as we speak. This delivery process will continue to run automatically over the next few hours, so everyone should receive their email by Thursday morning (GMT). A company called BackerKit are distributing the pledge manager links, so keep your eyes peeled for their name in your Inbox (and Junk folders, just in case).

Completing Your Pledge Manager

The pledge manager should only take around 3 minutes to complete!

When you open your pledge manager, please check that your name, location and pledge level are all correct. If everything looks good, go ahead and click the 'Get Started' button. If something doesn't look right, please click on the 'Need Help?' button and BackerKit support will be able to advise you or resolve the issue.

Once your pledge manager is completed, your pledge will be ready to be fulfilled. We will send you the coupon codes you need to redeem your rewards from our website (and charge your card for any outstanding balances) on Friday 10th December 20:00GMT. Backers who complete their pledge manager after this date may have to wait 1-3 working days to receive their codes.

Upgrading Your Pledge

If you would like to upgrade your pledge to a higher level, click the 'Switch Your Pledge Level' button after opening your pledge manager (as shown below). This will take you to a page where you can change your pledge level and will make sure that your pledge manager is set up with the relevant questions for that level.

If you do not receive a link to your pledge manager by Thursday 9th December 20:00GMT, then please send us a Kickstarter message or email and we will investigate this for you.
